Complete Computer Security with Anti-Virus, Firewall and Spyware Protection

You probably feel pretty secure right now sitting at home in front of your computer. All your windows and doors are locked. Maybe you even have a home security system. Nobody is getting inside your castle that you don't want, right? You might be right but at the same time you'd be very wrong.

The most likely intruders will come through your phone line then through your door. And they can cause just as much damage - and in many cases more - to your life and personal assets.

An AOL/National Cyber Security Alliance Online Safety Study found that 81% of home PCs lack at least one of the three critical protections -- updated computer virus software, spyware protection, and a secure firewall necessary to help guard against viruses, spyware, hackers, and other threats.

That means you need to start with a good Computer Firewall software to automatically protect your computer against hackers, Trojan horses, and other malicious outside attacks keeping the information on your PC safe and private. The Firewall also prevents any programs on your computer such as spyware and adware from sending any information to the outside world without your permission. This way your personal data stays safe.

Second, you'll need a good Spyware and Adware Removal software that can detect and remove unwanted spyware/adware programs from your computer. Many of these programs get installed - usually without your approval - while you are surfing and downloading software online. The programs at best collect and send basic information about you to someone. At worst, they can cause damage or help steal your personal and financial information.

Finally, you'll also need a comprehensive Anti-Virus software that continuously monitors your computer and detects spyware and viruses before they can cause damage. Make sure you have a way to get periodic updates so your anti-virus software knows about the latest viruses. New viruses are developed and unleashed daily. If you cannot get the latest updates from the software provider, your anti-virus software becomes ineffective very quickly.

CD Earth can help you make more sense of this.

All students of the Bible will find religious software invaluable. Religious software can be a great addition to any spiritual collection. With most Bible Study software you can search for a specific verse, compare texts, find all passages that reference a certain word or character and much more.

You can find free bible software and free bible study online. Many of these products come with dozens or even hundreds of bible texts, commentary texts, lexicons, bible dictionaries, and even daily devotionals.

Example of Bible texts include:

  • King James Bible
  • American Standard Version
  • Darby Bible
  • A Conservative Version
  • World English Bible
  • Webster Bible
  • and many more

Commentary texts include:

  • Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
  • Luther's Commentary on Galatians

Free Desktop Backgrounds and Wallpapers to match your personality

How would you describe your personality? Would a bland blue screen do it?

No? Yet millions of us have the standard blue screen background that came when we first installed our computer. We have hobbies like fishing, sports and scrapbooks. We have love movies, books and art. We proudly display our family and travel photographs on our desks and throughout our house. We decorate our homes and offices to showcase our personalities.

Yet our computers - most likely how we spend most of our work and many of our personal hours - remain solid color blue.

You can find beautiful free desktop backgrounds and wallpapers online. There are many websites where you can download free photo backgrounds, beautiful nature backgrounds, 3D backgrounds, animal backgrounds, futuristic backgrounds, space wallpaper, artistic backgrounds, animated backgrounds, airplane wallpaper and thousands of other choices.
